Face Flattering Hair

When trying to choose a hair style, full-faced beauties shouldn’t despair.  Some styles and cuts are unkind to facial structure, but there are plenty that are more forgiving of flaws.

Before moving on to styles, start with the right cut.  Straight line bobs and blunt cuts aren’t meant for everyone.  Simple they may seem, but it’s not simple to struggle against their unflattering lines.   Layered cuts give most faces a more slender appeal, and can be very versatile.  And layers around the face can particularly accentuate eyes, cheekbones, and jaw lines, drawing attention away where it’s not wanted, and putting a spotlight on slimming features.  Bangs should always be wispy and side swept—the heavy horizontal line of thick straight bangs widens the face.

When wearing hair down, use a side part.  Center parts can make the face appear rounder than it truly is.  A side part can also camouflage full cheeks.  If it’s a ponytail day, wear hair in a high, bouncy ponytail.  Creating height draws the eye vertically and will make for a slimmer overall appearance.

And even hair-color can help.  Shed a few visual pounds by having carefully placed highlights around the face, especially above the forehead.
